Hey, my name is Ishan Rathi, and I currently work as an AI Engineer at Amazon. Now, I can use this section to gloat about my credentials, but I would rather talk about my dream-or as I like to think-my goal. Ever since I was young, my dream was to be a billionaire. Now I know that might sound cliché, but I was serious about this goal. Being a billionaire, for me, isn't about wealth, but rather my ability to make an impact on the world. That being said, there is only one way I aim to accomplish this goal: a business.
My determination to achieve my goal is what sparked my passion within the industry. I was so invested in this passion that as a kid I started multiple companies - most of which failed. I was so invested in the chase that I sought to gain experience from anywhere I could. Most of them were conventional, workshops and classes, while others not so much. At the age of 13, I was impulsive to the point that I asked Mark Cuban a shark on Shark Tank, advice on my future businesses. Surprisingly enough, he responded! That's when I knew, I have a shot in this industry. Although that sounds ambitious, at the age of thirteen I had the ability to gain the attention of someone of such magnitude; I was convinced I could do anything. Mark if you're reading this, as much as I admire you, the Mavericks still suck.
This passion only led me to explore the world and understand what I excel at. I gradually grew a love for computer science and artificial intelligence, which led me to pursue a Master's degree in AI at Johns Hopkins University after completing my undergraduate studies. This educational foundation has prepared me for my current role at Amazon, where I work on cutting-edge AI technologies.
I currently live with four other people who all share the passion for creating a business. This pushes me further to work every day to accomplish my goal. My roommates have influenced my life to such an extent that the majority of my time is spent learning new applications in the business world. Just watching the people on Shark Tank with the same inspiration in their eyes that I have, keeps me in my comfort zone.
I want to combine my love for the field of technology with my passion for business to leave my mark on the world. That's why that's why I continuously put forth effort into expanding my knowledge. If there's one thing I learned from my mentor Mark (even though he might not know he's my mentor), chase to change the world, and satisfaction will be tenfold of what chasing money would accomplish.
If you're here to consider me for a certain job, keep this in mind; money is the least of my concerns, I only want to work to accomplish a goal many others abandon: to make my mark on the world.
